This project was part of the Urban Redevelopment Plan established by the City of Marietta in 2009. Whitlock Ave. streetscaping and pedestrian improvements provided infrastructure and beautification along this corridor which made it more attractive to businesses and investors to rediscover the area. The improvements provided better means of access for city residents to safely and comfortably walk to area shops, schools and other public spaces. The project included concrete sidewalks with brick accents, storm drainage, lighting furniture, crossing markings, ADA ramps and plantings at the intersections along the entire corridor, landscaping and many trees were installed to enhance Whitlock Avenue.
