The traffic of heavy vehicles in the intersection of Southwell Blvd. and US 41S has caused rutting to be a constant problem on this road. As a permanent solution, the Georgia Department of Transportation District Four has decided to replace the asphalt pavement for concrete. P2K will mill existing asphalt pavement and install 9-inch-thick full depth PCC pavement in all travel lanes. Also, PCC joint sealing will be installed, loop detection will be replaced, and striping will be performed over the new concrete surface at the intersection.
