This project was developed for the Port of Cartagena – Colombia with a local contractor as a partner in which our company provided the technical expertise and financial support. The project consisted in the structural concrete repair underneath the wharf deck. The concrete on the wharf deck and supporting beams was damaged by the corrosion on the rebar. The concrete was removed as well as the corroded rebar. The area was cleaned and sandblasted. Finally, the section was repaired; new rebar installed, corrosion inhibitors and concrete patching material put in place.
