The project consisted of renovating a section of Peachtree Rd. between Shadowlawn Ave. and Maple Drive. New asphalt, Sidewalks, medians, lighting, and landscaping are part of this project. The project included constructing a typical section with three lanes in each direction consisting of 10-ft inside and outside lanes, 11-ft center lanes divided by a 19-ft raised landscape median (including turn lanes), 5-ft bike lanes, a header curb, 14-17-ft shoulder comprised of a 6-ft landscape strip and 8 to 11ft wide sidewalks. The connectivity project was implemented along Peachtree Rd. from Shadowlawn Avenue to Maple Drive. The project improved connectivity to existing bus stops and the Buckhead MARTA station.
