DeKalb County has established a Sidewalk Program whose goal was to build the required infrastructure to improve pedestrian safety. As part of this program, P2K made 5-foot sidewalks with 2-foot grass strips and curb and gutter to fill in the voids between the existing segments of the sidewalk to provide connectivity along Flat Shoals Road. Also, this project includes a timber boardwalk and a pedestrian bridge along Henderson Road.
